As a recent graduate of Acadia University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology with Honours degree, I am motivated to continue learning about this field. During my undergraduate studies, I completed an Honours thesis surrounding virtual pulmonary rehabilitation programming for self-identifying women with COPD and/or asthma in Nova Scotia. Although not directly related to the cardiovascular field, I believe there are some values that align between the two, notably: 1) providing a safe and comfortable environment for women’s healthcare, and 2) continuing to learn, promote, and raise awareness for healthcare for women, and acknowledging priority areas for improvement. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University. I am enthusiastic to lengthen my knowledge in this area and to hopefully someday contribute to the improvement in women’s cardiovascular healthcare, and to the field of women’s health overall!
