Nadine graduated from Concordia University with a degree in clinical exercise physiology and is a certified kinesiologist with extensive experience in behavioral counseling and health promotion. She is currently the lead for the Women @Heart program at the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre, within the Division of Prevention and Rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
Nadine has been working at the Heart Institute since 2005, initially as a research team educator. In 2011, she took on a new role in planning and developing prevention and wellness activities. She also contributed to the implementation and evaluation of the CardioPrevent program for primary prevention and management of cardiovascular disease.
Since 2013, with the launch of the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre, Nadine has been responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a peer support program for women with heart disease. From the program’s inception, she has overseen its daily operations, collaborated with the research team for evaluation, and explored opportunities for national expansion.
