Dr. Sandi Azab is assistant professor in Department of Medicine, and the Mary Heersink School of Global Health and Social Medicine, McMaster University. She is also a registered pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. She received her doctoral degree in Chemical Biology from McMaster University and completed her postdoctoral training in epidemiology at the Chanchlani Research Centre, McMaster. Sandi is passionate about women’s health, precision medicine, and health equity. She is an expert in metabolomics and biomarker discovery and leads multidisciplinary research focused on cardiovascular disease and maternal and child health, within multiethnic Canadian and global cohorts. Sandi is originally from Alexandria, Egypt, and enjoys reading, hiking and watching her twin sons grow.
