Chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, and mental health challenges continue to shape the health outcomes of women across Canada. Yet many of these conditions remain under-researched, underdiagnosed, and insufficiently addressed within existing care models.
On May 5, 2026, the Economic Club of Canada convenes a panel of clinical and research leaders to examine how chronic illness is experienced and managed across the healthcare system, and where gaps in access, coordination, and long-term support persist.
