Biography

Dr. Dumanski is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Calgary. She received a Medical Degree from the University of Saskatchewan, followed by clinical residencies in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, a Master of Medical Science from the University of Calgary, and a Master’s Certificate in Health Systems Management from the Johnson-Shoyama School of Public Policy.

Dr. Dumanski’s program of research merges her clinical expertise in kidney and cardiovascular disease with her scientific background in vascular physiology, and endeavors to understand the impact of sex and gender on cardiovascular and kidney outcomes in women and men. Specifically, Dr. Dumanski investigates the implications of fertility and the effect of fertility-related hormones on micro- and macro- vascular health. She has a special interest in anti-Mullerian hormone, a sex hormone secreted by both females and males to augment fertility, and its physiologic role in both kidney and cardiovascular outcomes.
